Fundraising for the Flint Park Project is complete

Thank you all so much for your support. Work on Lorenzen will begin next year.

Fundraising for Phase 1 of the Memorial Field project is complete

We raised the $465,000 needed to complete Phase 1 of the Memorial Field project

•New 370' x 200' multi sport all weather playing field
•Site demolition, excavation and preparation
•State-of-the-art field drainage system
•NY State approved storm management system
•New ADA-compliant bleachers to accommodate 500 people (Click here for more info.)

Where the funds came from:

•$500,000 from Mamaroneck School District (earmarked in 2004 for field work)
•$250,000 from NY State Assembly Legislative Grant (Thank you George Latimer)
•$100,000 from the Larchmont Junior Soccer League
•$ 50,000 from the Larchmont Mamaroneck Youth Lacrosse
•$465,000 from Fields for Kids fundraising effort

$1,365,000 to turf MHS Memorial Field, including site preparation, drainage, storm water management system

If you did not get a chance to donate, it's not too late. We will add your name to the donors "thank you" ad and the field plaques that will follow. Overages will go to the next Phases of the Memorial Field Renovation Plan.

Volunteer Opportunities

Fields for Kids needs a large team of people to help us accomplish our mission of building more and safer playing fields in the Larchmont/Mamaroneck area.

We welcome everyone — no experience necessary — just enthusiasm and a desire to help improve conditions for our community.

However we do have a special need for any people with writing, advertising, computer and legal experience who might be interested in joining our steering committee. In addition, we have a lot of interesting on-going opportunities for students who need to earn additional hours for community service projects.
